Purpose
Why are am I doing this? Why Coaching? Why now? Being purpose driven, I reflected on these questions. So why am I an executive coach? Very simply I have been a beneficiary of coaching at different stages of my career both formally and informally and I credit in part coaching in supporting my agenda at different junctures in my life, whether professional, personal health or family. During those periods of transition and or growth, it was always reassuring to have a partner, someone in my corner to navigate through those phases. Essentially coaching and executive coaching is my contribution of giving back and supporting someone else in transition and or growth.
Why now? Well perspective. I am “ex”. An ex CEO, Managing Director, Executive, professional consultant and ex-husband. I am currently an entrepreneur with investments primarily in the property and construction sector, a husband, father of four wonderful children ranging in age from 19 years to 19 months twin toddlers. And of course a fifteen year old son in the middle. We have moved continents, moved house more times than I care to remember. Built, grew and sold businesses. So I have some perspective. This perspective is both a gift and a burden. A gift because I lived it. And a burden because I must share it. Coaching is way for me to share it.
With that very vulnerable context, I added professional executive coach training at Seattle Coach under the faculty of Master Certified Coach Patty Burgin, to whom I am ever grateful. On my way to being ICF (International Coaching Federation) accredited.
My Purpose is giving back, sharing, learning and collaborating through coaching!
